Youth Engagement

We recognize the importance of preparing children and youth for future success and believe in giving youth the opportunity to be a part of building a stronger community.

  • London Life Youth United  – provides small grants to youth led projects in our community. Click to learn more about how to get involved.

We want youth in London and Middlesex County to give, volunteer and act!  We are now recruiting young people interested in getting active in their community to address United Way impact areas: poverty, mental health and beginnings & transitions.  Click on the links above for more information about how to apply.

  • London Life Young Leaders

For 12 years, United Way Elgin Middlesex has partnered with London Life to provide young people in our community with a unique leadership opportunity through London Life Young Leaders. The program matches young people aged 18-24 with a non-profit organization and gives them the opportunity to serve as an ex-officio member of their Board of Directors and learn more about non-profit governance. Over its history, more than 180 young Londoners have taken part in the program so far.

Effective Fall 2017, London Life Young Leaders will move to Pillar Nonprofit Network. As the program’s lead agency, Pillar will bring a variety of benefits to the program including; access to a roster of workshop leaders and integration of the program with existing professional development and board governance offerings.

Contact Pillar Nonprofit Network for more information.
