Carolyn joined United Way London & Middlesex in January 2011 as a member of the Community Engagement team. As a volunteer & event manager extraordinaire, her main focus is overseeing all United Way signature events. Calling London her home for most of her life, she has built a network of professional contacts that spans over 20 years in this community, with 12 years focused in the not for profit sector. Carolyn truly enjoys sharing her passion for community work and events through post-secondary student mentorship & intern programs and has been a guest presenter at various Event Management courses through both Western University’s continuing education program and Fanshawe College. When not at work or attending a local event, she is often seen at the hockey arena, dance studio, theater or enjoying one of London’s local restaurants.
“My skills and experience as a special event or project manager could allow me to work in many industries, but working in the not for profit sector – specifically for United Way – allows me to truly say my contributions change lives!” Carolyn Botten
